Learn how the app makes hosting easier

While teaching elementary school in California, Jillian Eversole’s pursuits of writing, cooking, and hosting simmered alongside her day job. What started as a creative outlet gradually took shape through her blog and Instagram account, where she shared personal style, family moments, recipes, and gatherings.
After moving to Charleston in 2017, Eversole’s digital portfolio led her to connect with Megan Kowalczyk, a Chicago-based former blogger who was a member of a cookbook club. She noticed the friction that came with organizing the monthly gatherings: endless group texts, scheduling conflicts, and the challenge of keeping people engaged. When she approached Eversole with the idea of a platform that would streamline the process, the concept resonated immediately.
Last summer, the duo launched TableWith, a membership app designed to simplify hosting or joining a cookbook club. Users can start a club with friends or find one in their area, while the app manages the logistics, such as rotating host selection, availability polls, and sharing addresses privately. The host selects a cookbook and proposes meeting dates, allowing members to claim recipes and plan without the hassle. Additional tools include grocery lists and event reminders.
TableWith partners with publishers to offer a database of cookbooks from authors such as Martha Stewart, Jake Cohen, and Meredith Hayden, while adding new titles monthly. Each cookbook includes a selection of recipes, with the option to unlock the full book and other app features for $4.99 a month. “In a world that’s often lived online, the happiest, healthiest moments still come from sharing life with other people,” Eversole says.
